Foamseal Adhesive Applied to Roof Sheaths & Truss
What is Foamseal?
The Foamseal Hurricane Adhesive is the answer to the problem of water seaping in
from the roof, and especially after roof covering failure in CAT I, II and III
hurricanes. The Foamseal system is a foam sealant that even strengthens roof
structure for better resistance to hurricane force wind uplifts.
Some Foamseal Technical Info The Foamseal Hurricane Adhesive
system expands slightly to permeate and fill gaps. Typically, 1/8" to 1/4" gaps
that are left in roof sheathing installations are easily filled by trained
Jensen Insulation applicators, using the Foamseal Hurricane Adhesive system.
Water intrusion is greatly reduced by the Foamseal Hurricane Adhesive system,
reducing the risk of mold, mildew and soaked ceiling/insulation after roof
covering failure.

While the Foamseal Hurricane Adhesive system is a polyurethane foam substance, it is not a spray foam insulation. The Foamseal system is an adhesive that is sprayed on to truss and sheathing joints to seal out water and strengthen the structure of the roof. The adhesive qualities of this Foamseal system hold sheathing together, like glue, which makes the roof stronger against hurricane winds; Stronger than just nails alone.
